KG-1 Program FAQs
Is this too much screen time?
Our 40-minute live sessions are interactive, not passive. Children actively create, problem-solve, and communicate with their instructor. We recommend 1-2 sessions per week, balanced with other activities. Optional 5-minute home challenges are also screen-free whenever possible.
Does my child need to read?
No reading is required! Our KG-1 curriculum is designed for pre-readers. ScratchJr uses visual blocks, and our instructors guide children through voice and demonstration. Story-driven activities use pictures and audio, making it fully accessible to young learners.
What robotics kits are used?
For KG-1, we use age-appropriate button-based robotics like Botley and similar tablet-controlled robots. These don’t require assembly or complex programming – just hands-on exploration and fun! Kits can be purchased separately or rented through our program.
Can my child join mid-year?
Absolutely! Since our classes are 1-on-1 or small group, we personalize the learning journey for each child. Your child can start at any time, and we’ll assess their level to begin at the right point in the curriculum.
